Cliffe Castle Museum and Park


Cliffe Castle has undergone a major restoration. Visitors can see sparkling Victorian rooms and furniture, paintings, and decorative art. Ilkley Pool and Lido


The indoor pool is open year round. The outdoor Lido is open between Spring Bank holiday in May and September. Facilities include: indoor pool, outdoor pool, tennis, putting green, bowling, picnic areas and café.

Keighley & Worth Valley Railway


The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is a preserved standard gauge line which joins the national railway network at Keighley and runs 5-miles up the valleys of the River Worth and Bridgehouse Beck to Oxenhope. The Railway is perhaps most famous for its role in the 1970 film version of Edith Nesbit’s story The Railway Children. The Railway has played host to many film crews the most notable in recent years has been the World War 1 drama, Testament of Youth and the children’s classic, Swallows & Amazons.

Leeds and Liverpool Canal


Low Wood is on the side of the the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, it is the longest canal in Britain built as a single waterway. The canal passes through picturesque countryside and villages on the edge of the Yorskhire Dales before reaching Leeds. Walkers love the canal, and thousands of visitors come every year to marvel at the impressive Bingley Five Rise Locks and the historic salt town of Saltaire.

Wharfedale Scout Sailing Centre – Reva, is located at Reva Reservoir enjoying stunning panoramic views. They provide RYA Sailing Courses and Water Activity Sessions which can include sailing, kayaking, open canoes, rowing, stand up paddleboarding, paddleboarding, bellboating and raft building.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
